Jon Memmott is a retired District Judge having served on the bench for 18 years.
Judge Memmott also served as Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to Governor Norm Bangerter of the State of Utah from 1988 to 1994. Prior to serving on Governor Bangerter's staff, he served as Director and General Counsel of the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel from 1976-1984.
While active in state government Judge Memmott coordinated Utah activities in Asia, with special emphasis on Japan and China. He also served as Adjunct Professor at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management where he taught Labor and Employment Law to law and business graduate students.
Judge Memmott specializes in conflict resolution and continues an active practice with Arbinger Conflict Resolution Services.
